PDD today announces the launch of ultra slim type heat dissipation solutions for LED products. The total thickness of PDD's products measures up to 0.5mm, compared with the 1.6mm thickness of a standard thermal product. Test results with a 1W white light LED product by using 30mm £X of PDD's product can achieve a temperature of 55¢J, approximately 25¢J lower than the 80¢J of a standard solution.

Traditional heat dissipation materials for LED products usually use aluminum as a basic material, but besides having the side effects of low heat dissipation efficiency, the product is bulky in size and heavy. Aluminum alloys are also utilized, but cost is much higher. PDD's new material is a non-metallic Dimensional Dissipation material, and can dissipate heat at high efficiency ratios.

By solving the heat issue caused by LEDs, the life span of the LED are thus increased and can be much smaller in size. Taking a LED street lamp for example, the standard weight of a street lamp is 14kg. Most developers target a design of 10kg, but by using PDD's solution, total weight of the street lamp can be lower than 10kg. Installation will be much easier and transportation costs will be much lower. Total materials used to manufacture the street lamps can also be less, achieving cost down and higher production efficiency.
